Sweetness
Tasting Notes:
Sweet, syrupy and complex with a smooth mouthfeel that transforms into a lasting throat sweetness.
Tea Type:
Raw Gushu Puerh Tea Cake
Background Description
Quality gushu (ancient tree) puerh from our friends, the Li family of Gaoshan village, Yiwu shan. This close-knit family operation makes some of the sweetest and complex raw puerh we've ever tasted and we’ve only got a limited amount available.
This particular cake is made of gushu leaves from the Autumn 2019 season, which, for us, is arguably more fragrant than some Spring tea productions. A nice sized chunk will easily last for many, many infusions, so get ready for some long sessions. This cake will please those just getting into raw puerh, as well as seasoned collector looking to add to their stash. The flavour will also get deeper and richer with ageing too… good luck trying not to drink it all though.
