Collection: Yellow Teas

Welcome to Yellow Tea!

The mysterious and unfamiliar brew of all the 7 tea categories. Centuries ago Yellow tea was a more popular tea type, but due to the difficulty in making it and the rise in Green tea popularity, tea farmers have produced less and less of it over the years. Now, finding a good Yellow tea has become harder and harder to find and share.

Yellow tea is produced in a similar fashion to Green tea, except with the added process of "men huang" ("heaping for yellow"). This results in the leaves being slightly oxidised. A good Yellow tea is a smooth delight and it will have much less astringency than a Green tea.

Brew similar to Green tea with hot water temperatures anywhere between 80℃ and 95℃ depending on the leaf size.
